SIDNEY – It’s come to the attention of the Chenango County Farm Bureau that solar leasing of land has become a big concern in New York State.

These lease agreements may affect ag exemptions and taxes, and present a host of other concerns, the Farm Bureau warns.

That’s why the Chenango Farm Bureau will sponsor a public informational meeting on the solar leasing process starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sidney American Legion, 22 Union St. in Sidney.
