Morrisville Norwich campus offers crash course in college preparedness

NORWICH – Area high school students got a glimps of college life during a three-session informational workshop recently hosted by the Liberty Partnership Program at the Morrisville State College Norwich campus.

More than 25 high school seniors took part in the series which guided them through the transition from high school to college, and answered questions they might have about the process. Topics that were covered included student life, career services, financial aid information, and admissions.

“We knew there was a need to interact more with high school students to get them more excited about college,” said Liberty Partnership Director Shelly Bartow. “Over the last three months, students have been coming here (to the Norwich campus) for these workshops. So many students have been saying they want to know more. They don’t feel they’re informed enough coming out of high school to really be prepared or know what to expect.”
