DCMO BOCES announces district superintendent search

NORWICH – The DCMO BOCES Board of Trustees has commenced the search process for a new District Superintendent.
Upon the retirement of Bill Tammaro in March of 2015, the State Education Department assigned Allen Buyck as the interim District Superintendent while a thorough study was conducted to determine whether or not to leave the BOCES intact in its current configuration.
The State Education Department has concluded to leave the BOCES as is and to search for a new District Superintendent.
The search process will be conducted over the coming months with the input from DCMO stakeholders. Buyck, the district’s current interim District Superintendent, will act as a search consultant and will be assisting the Board through this process. Buyck will also continue to act as the interim District Superintendent until a replacement is selected.
The recruitment process incorporates a public survey aimed at developing a profile for the new superintendent. The DCMO BOCES Board welcomes feedback from community members.
To access the survey, visit www.DCMOBOCES.com. This survey will be available until March 11. At its conclusion, the results will be compiled and a summary report provided to the Board of Education.
