Valley Heights girls basketball complete undefeated season

DRYDEN - Valley Heights Christian Academy captured the Empire State Christian Athletic League championship on February 12th after beating Cortland Christian Academy in the title game, 29-16.
The Crusaders and the Saints had met twice this season and Valley Heights won both contests.
The Valley Heights ladies held Cortland Christian Academy to six points in the first quarter and then would not allow them to score again until the final quarter to take a 22-6 lead. After holding off a late Cortland Christian Academy comeback, the Crusaders became champions.
Valley Heights was led by Lisa Miedema with eight points. Erica Stockwell also had a productive day with six points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.
The win takes Valley Heights to a perfect 13-0 on the year. Looking ahead to next season, the Crusaders will be without graduating seniors Erica Stockwell, Bethany Conover, Molly Montgomery, and Amanda Davis.
