Cops: 3 people saved from heroin overdoses in same NY home

BALDWINSVILLE (AP) - Police officers in a central New York village have saved three people who overdosed on heroin inside the same home within a five-hour span.
Police tell WSTM-TV (bit.ly/1QIXf1b) that officers were called around 6 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a woman who was unconscious at a house in Baldwinsville, outside Syracuse.
Officials say the woman had overdosed on heroin. An officer administered the heroin antidote Narcan and the woman was taken to a Syracuse hospital.
Five hours later the same officer and another cop were called back to the home, where two 22-year-olds had also overdosed on heroin.
Both people were treated with Narcan and taken to a hospital.
The police chief says all three would have died if not for the quick response of the officers and emergency crews.
