The section of the Palm Sunday service at the Broad Street Church blessed the palms. The people then set off as signs, banners, a cross, palms, and a miniature horse led the procession. All the people together continued to West Park Place where they stopped and prayed at the Baptist Church, another section of the service. The provession gathered still more people at the Baptist Church and all the people together crossed West Park to the United Church of Christ where the Service of Worship continued with hymns, anthems by combined choirs and a reading of the passion narrative from the Gospel of Luke.
