Awards for NHS Cheerleaders

The Norwich Cheerleading Booster Club held an end-of-season awards banquet to honor the 2015-2016 varsity basketball cheerleading team. The banquet was catered by Dave Shull of Nina’s Pizzeria and Restaurant. The booster club would also like to thank Lisa Fitch for providing amazing desserts for the event, Rhett Genung for providing audio-visual assistance and the HS Janitorial Staff for their help with set-up and tear-down. The NHS Cheerleaders cheered at 14 regular season home games for both the boys and girls basketball teams, 8 post season playoff games and participated in two cheerleading competitions during the season. Pictured with Coach Marie DeSarro, are the season award winners – Austin Matlack-Grey – Coach’s Award, Paul Russell Jr. – Most Improved, and Shelby Rose – Most Valuable. DeSarro extends gratitude to everyone who supported the cheerleaders throughout the season.
