New coach calls for upperclassmen to help lead Oxford Blackhawks

OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks varsity boys and girls program will be headed by a new head coach for the 2016 year.

Mark Fish will be coaching and is currently teaching at Oxford Academy, after he moved to Chenango County to coach after a seven year stint teaching and coaching in the Binghamton School District.

Fish sees his team, on both the girls and guys side, to have some fundamental building blocks to help Oxford achive years of success.

“This season at Oxford we are looking forward to building a large dynamic team that will be competitive,” said Fish. “We are focusing on the fundamentals to build a long lasting love of Track and Field.”

However, as well as planning for the years of hopeful success, Fish noted that his teams are quite young and he will looking for veterans in the sport to step up and help lead by example.
