NYS mobile tax service stops in Oneonta today

ONEONTA – The New York State Department of Financial Service’ Mobile Command Center will be in the Oneonta area today to help local residents file their tax return.

The Mobile Command Center delivers in-person assistance to help New Yorkders prepare and file their taxes free of charge.

This year’s deadline to file is April 18.

Taxpayers with federal adjusted gross income under $62,000 can save the expense of hiring a preparer or purchasing software by visiting the Mobile Command Center to file federal and state income tax returns at no cost.

The Mobile Command Center will be at the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta between noon and 6 p.m. Anyone who can file is encouraged to bring with them:
