UV suffers opening day defeat
The Unadilla Valley lady Storm suffered a monster defeat to move them to 0-1 on the season.
A team with much hope for the season, will now have to regroup, after suffering a 14-1 mercy rule loss in the fifth inning, to Unatego.
Unatego would start right away with the superior batting as they went up 4-0 in just the first inning. After the second and third innings for Unatego brought two more runs a piece it seemed as if Unatego would run away with the win.
As much as UV battled it seemed Unatego was bent on the win, as they added an additional six-points in the fourth inning, before eventually surrendering a point to UV in the fifth inning.
It should be noted that Seven different players had one hit (all singles) each for Unatego.
