Norwich Tennis drops an important matchup to the Black Knights

WINDSOR – After hosting the Black Knights of Windsor last week and earning the tough fought victory over the visiting team 5-2, Norwich traveled back down to Windsor for the rematch game yesterday, April 25.
It was in fact Windsor who earned the win at 6-1 over a depleted Norwich roster due to spring break.
It was Windsor's Aaron Williams who effectively ended Joel Fazio's undefeated season when he defeated Fazio in straight sets at 6-2, 6-2.
Windsor standout, Jared Mirch, downed Mike Root of Norwich, blanking him 6-0, 6-0.
While Norwich's Austin Benenati battled to a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Brian Ellsworth.
Despite being depleted in their roster, the fight was still there in the Tornado. Michael Sova ultimately defeated Zayn Harper, however, it was no blowout as Harper battled to 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) tie-breaker.
Norwich's sole win on the evening came in the first doubles, when Matt Giglio and Josia Shaver defeated Matt Colosi and Collin Gollogly in another tightly contested match, earning the win at 6-4, 7-5.
Windsor would receive two final forfeit wins to close out the doubles competition.
With this loss, Norwich now sits at an overall record of 5-2, with a conference record of 2-2.
