BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford varsity baseball team couldn’t manage to assail the Sidney lead as they succumbed to a loss at home last Friday, Apr. 22, on a score line of 8-4.
It was a rough day for B-G. They fell behind early, and despite accumulating seven hits, could never grasp a good hold on the game, as Sidney ran away to a comfortable victory. Best in the loss were Sean Jones, who went two for four at the plate, driving in three runs for the Bobcats, and Evan Hyzer, who went three for four on the day, with a double. Winning pitcher Alex Hoskins drove in two runs to help the Warriors on their way to the conquest.
