Annual Cocktail Fundraiser to be held May 14
NORWICH – The Place is hosting its third Annual Cocktail Fundraiser on May 14, 2016 at 28 South Tapas and Wine Bar.
The evening will feature a silent auction of candles made with the help of the children of The Place.
The candles that will be available at the silent auction, will be displayed on the tables of 28 South starting at the beginning of May. The silent auction will also feature a number of other exciting items donated by local and national organizations/businesses including jewelry, gift certificates, event tickers and more.
The event will take place from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., where guests will enjoy a Hawaiian themed setting, hors d’oeuvres, specialty cocktails, a cash bar with 50 percent of the proceeds to benefit The Place, and a 50/50 raffle.
“This is a great time to pull out that loud Hawaiian shirt from the closet and wear it to an event that supports such a great cause” said Rebecca Bliss, Executive Director of The Place. “The Place has many programs that help youth develop into mature young adults and this fundraiser helps support those programs. We hope the community will come out on May 14, and make this event a success.”
For more information or to register for the event, please contact Rebecca Bliss at 336-9696 x103 by April 10. The event price is $35 for preregistration and $40 after May 9.
