Unadilla Valley Golf earns second win
EDMESTON – The Unadilla Valley varsity gold team rematched Cincinnatus and McGraw this past week, May 12.
The rematch saw McGraw once again come out of top winning with a team score of 210 and seeing a three way tie for their medalist position go to Kyle Welsh, Eric Smith and Drew Smith, who all shot a 40 on the course.
UV would get their second win over the Cincinnatus, this time edging them by just one stroke, winning at 267 to 268.
Cincinnatus's medalist, Jeff Holstrom shot a solid 44.
While UV also saw a tie at their medalist position go to Sam Loeffler and Spencer Meade at 51.
This 51 by Loeffler and Meade was followed by Brett Hanslmaier at 52, Mark Hine at 53 and Brandan Kneel at 60.
UV, now 2-7 overall, will have one final matchup on the 2016 season when they will face off against Sherburne-Earlville later on tonight, May 16 at Red Pine Gold Course.
