Klecha and Stirone claim MAC titles

SIDNEY – Four Chenango County teams: Bainbridge-Guilford, Greene, Unadilla Valley, and Oxford traveled over the hill to Sidney for the MAC Championships this past May 19.
On the girls side of the meet it was Unatego who would win the team crown with 134-points. Bainbridge-Guilford would claim the highest spot for Chenango County teams when they posted 42-points for a sixth place finish out of the 10-teams. Greene would finish with 42-points in seventh, followed by Unadilla Valley with 29-points in eighth, and Oxford with 4-points in tenth.
On the boys side, it was the home team of Sidney who walked away with the competition easily when they nearly scored 100 more points than that of Delhi in second place. Sidney would win with 170-points. While Unadilla Valley would put up a valiant fight, placing third with 74-points, followed by Bainbridge-Guilford in sixth with 39.5, Greene in eighth with 22-points and Oxford in tenth with 7-points.
Chris Klecha, a senior pole vaulter from Greene, vaulted his way to a title in the pole vault. Klecha claimed his MAC title with a vault clearing 12'.
While Unadilla Valley's senior Chris Stirone ran a time of 11.54
