NORWICH – Youth in Chenango County may have a chance to earn a little extra cash while gaining valuable work experience through another installment of the Summer Youth Employment Program.

Last week, county officials passed a resolution authorizing release of more than $97,000 in state aid for administrative expenses of the program.

The Summer Youth Employment Program is a collaboration between The Place in Norwich, the Chenango County Department of Social Services, and the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance that provides young people from low-income households with valuable work experience and a paycheck.
