Fiddling duo to perform at Oxford Farmers’ Market

OXFORD—Favorite local fiddlers Steve and Richard Ellsworth return to the Lafayette Park Bandstand this Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon, to perform old-time set of Irish and bluegrass tunes. The Hammerle Hill Fiddlers, a father-son duo hailing from McDonough, are the house band at the Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market and have played regularly at the summertime Oxford Farmers’ Market and throughout the region at festivals and contra dances. This program is free and open to the public.
This week at the market, shoppers will find fresh-picked beans and peas—both shell and snap—from Lorraine Jeffrey, and eggs and bread from Melvin Magrath, all under one tent.
