NORWICH – A one-vehicle accident occurred northbound on State Route 12 in the Town of Norwich on Sunday evening, July 17.

After the initial call came in, at approximately 6:50 p.m., the road was closed for about five hours while crews cleaned up the accident scene.

Chenango Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene after a report of vehicle struck a utility pole, causing wires to be strewn across the road and knocking out power to multiple businesses and residents in both the City and Town of Norwich.
