Rising country music star to perform at Chenango County Fair
NASHVILLE - Alyssa Trahan is a young country music artist who is set to perform at this year’s Chenango County Fair.
Alyssa’s ascendance in the country music scene began with the release of her hit song and music video “I Love Your Truck,” which has garnered over 137,500 views since its release last December.
“It’s been crazy. The whole experience has been amazing,” said Trahan. “When I first wrote the song, I thought about how cool it would be to have a music video for it. And thanks to Hoselton Chevrolet, I got to see it come to life. Anyone who knows me knows I like trucks more than I probably should, so "I Love Your Truck" is kinda like my love song to trucks.”
Though originally a native of Rochester, Alyssa moved to Nashville earlier this year to pursue her dream as a country music singer-songwriter. Since then, her rise as a promising country artist has been picking up steam.
“I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t writing songs,” said Trahan. “I would always come up with lyrics and melodies in my head and write them in a little notebook. I didn’t really know I was writing songs though, it just came naturally.”
In addition to the Chenango County Fair show, Alyssa will be playing a number of other shows around the region this summer on top of working on a new EP and writing with other Nashville artists.
Trahan said, “I’m so excited (about playing at the Chenango County Fair). I’ve been to the area before, so I’m looking forward to performing there. Especially since it’s so close to where I grew up.”
