Greene drops another game at the hands of the Bobcats
BAINBRIDGE-GUILFORD – The home Bainbridge-Guilford lady Bobcats would take full advantage of the struggling Greene girls varsity team, despite a slow start, to earn the win at 2-0 on Sept. 6.
At the halftime break the two teams would be knotted up with a scoreless game.
The second half would see Alli Miller of the Bobcats, with only 19:27 left in the game record the first goal of the contest, when Kate Porter crossed the ball from the right side to Miller in the middle for the score.
B-G would tack on an insurance goal when Miller once again found the net, this time with an assist from Dina Cordes with just 13:07 left in the game.
The offensive prowess of the Bobcats was simply not matched by the Trojans as B-G would record 16 shots on goal and 10 corners in the game, to Greene's one shot and one corner.
B-G (3-2 overall, 2-1 league) will have some time to go back to the practice field as they will not see live action again until the NY Pizzeria Tournament on Friday Sept. 16, at Unadilla Valley where they will face Gilbertsville-Mount Upton. Greene (0-5) will take on Unadilla Valley on the road on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 5 p.m.
