Lady Storm remain undefeated after overtime win

UNADILLA VALLEY – The Storm varsity girls soccer team has now secured a second win on the season after narrowly defeating visiting Delhi in overtime at 1-0.

At 0-0 and heading into the first overtime period, it was Julia Oglesby of Unadilla Valley would finally break the stalemate netting a goal from the 18 yard line for the Storm win.
“I think both teams played their hearts out. It was a great game in bad weather,” said UV head coach Diane Hayes. “Our goalie Abbie Oglesby had a great game and so did our sweeper Lanie White.”
Next up for UV, they face off against the 0-5, Greene lady Trojans on Sept. 12, at 5 p.m., before they will travel to Oxford on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m.
