‘Saturdays in the Park: Fall Harvest Series’ to begin Saturday

NORWICH - The Norwich Business Improvement District (BID), in conjunction with sponsors NBT Bank and Snyder Communications, are initiating ‘Saturdays in the Park: Fall Harvest Series’ to showcase some of the area’s fall related agriculture while contributing to the quality of life in downtown Norwich.
The new event is a continuation of the ‘Saturdays in the Park’ series and will be kicking-off tomorrow, September 16, in Norwich’s West Park from 9 a.m. to noon.
‘Saturdays in the Park’ Event Coordinator Mindy Chawgo says that attendees can expect to see a number of fall related foods, produce, and decorations at the event that is bookended by Colorscape and will run every Saturday for six weeks until the Pumpkin Festival.
“We really want to continue our efforts to bring people to downtown Norwich and enjoy everything that we have to offer, while showcasing some of our local vendors and products,” said BID Executive Director Ann Coe.
The Fall Harvest series will incorporate a number of local businesses including Pires Flower Basket Inc., Norwich Meadows Farm, Walling’s Maple Products, and many more.
The Norwich Rotary Club will be serving breakfast sandwiches and coffee, and there will also be products available from The Cider Mill in Endicott.
Chobani will be debuting its new food truck at the Fall Harvest market at a later time in the series.
Chawgo says that there will be entertainment on select Saturdays throughout the series, and parking is available at the Chenango County Office Building nearby West Park.
