Lady Bobcats destroy visiting Lumberjacks, move to take on Delhi
BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats undefeated varsity volleyball team continued their winning streak against visiting Deposit on Sept. 21, beating the Lumberjacks 3-0.
The Bobcats would complete the sweep in three sets, notably not allowing double digits points against them until the final set.
“Another great serving night with another 29 aces for the night,” said B-G head coach Tami Selfridge.
Youngster Abigail Selfridge would once again lead the charge for the home team when she record 14 aces, 11 assists, and four kills.
The team would hold Deposit under nine points in the first two sets, as B-G claimed the 2-0 start with wins of 25-9, and 25-8. The finals set would also go in favor of the Bobcats however, with an improved Deposit score of 25-16.
Following is Abigail's lead, Erica Selfridge would have one ace, eight assists and five kills, followed by Alexis Carr with six aces and three kills, and Zamira Caldwell with four aces and two kills.
Stats were limited on the visiting side, as B-G held Janiris Rodriguez to just one kill, Alyssa Curtis to just one kill, Kayla Scuderi to just four aces, and Kylee Wignall to six digs.
Up next for Bainbridge-Guilford (5-0 overall, 4-0 league), they will be heading into Bulldog territory as they matchup against the Delhi later on this evening, Friday, Sept. 23. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
