Johnson shows off prowess at CCC with another Norwich win

NORWICH – Norwich varsity golf has mowed over teams as of late, and continued the trend when Chenango Forks came to the Canasawacta Country Club on Sept. 21.
The Blue Devils would lose the match to Norwich when Norwich posted a solid team score of 202 to CFs 280.
Ryan Johnson of Norwich would lead the way for the Tornado win with his 37 stroke performance – on the CCC greens which hold a 36 par. In the win following in Johnson's example, Brenon Maynard would record a game one off of Johnson with a 38, followed by Alex Gage at 39, Nate Scheer at 40, Griffin Clipston at 48, and AJ Little at 50.
In the loss for Chenango Forks, their medalist spot on the day would go to Ryan Gresham who shot a 41, followed by Kevin Solomon and Kyle Norton at 42, Ryan Locke at 47, and Derrick Everrett and Bryan Heller at 48.
Norwich (5-1 league) played home again on Sept. 22, where they faced off against Owego.
