Lady Storm continue to mow down their opponents
GREENE – Unadilla Valley varsity volleyball has now advanced to a perfect 7-0 on the season, following their road win against Greene on Monday, Sept. 26.
The dominate UV girls would advance to a 2-0 start as they claimed the first two sets for their own, in what was looking to be a shutout early on.
However, Unadilla Valley would see the third set stolen away from them by the lady Trojans, drawing the match to 2-1.
Unfortunately for the lady Trojans, Unadilla Valley would return in the fourth set to claim the victory.
In the win for the Storm, four standouts would emerge, Sara Nogaret with seven aces and three kills, Megan Carpenter with seven aces and three kills, Bailey Miller with seven aces and two kills, and Tia Peck with three kills.
For the home Trojans Heaven Parrish would record four aces, followed by Alena Young with two aces, and Courtney Pratt with one block.
Unadilla Valley (7-0) will square off against fellow undefeated Chenango County team Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Greene (0-7) will travel north on route 12, to face Oxford on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
