Oxford volleyball returns to form

OXFORD – The lady Blackhawks hosted the ladies from Greene on Sept. 28, for an inter-county matchup, with Oxford ultimately claiming the win in three sets at 3-0.

Oxford now moves to 5-1 on the season following this latest win, in which Indaria Quintana and Allison Beckwith truly would stepped up to help deliver the win for their squad.

The first set would see both the Blackhawks and Trojans battle in 25-23 set, to which Oxford would just barely secure the win.

Each set following the close first, the Trojans would seem to ware down as the Blackhawks simply were settling in on their home court. Oxford would defeat Greene in the next two sets with scores of 25-21, and a crushing win for the team victory in the third set at 25-10.

In the loss for Greene, Alena Young would record four aces, Heaven Parrish would record three aces and one kill, while Cheyenne Rich snagged one block in the match.
