Tornado tennis crushes the Black Knights in rematch
NORWICH – Norwich dominated Windsor in all facets of the rematch this past Monday, Sept. 26, as they cruised to a 7-0 victory once again.
Just like the previous Windsor matchup the past Friday, Sept. 23, Norwich would earn each win in straight sets, as they commanded the match now moving to 9-1 overall.
Makenzie Maynard would square off against Windsor's Julie Nemcek, winning at first singles 7-5 and 6-2.
“Makenzie Maynard continued her dominance over Windsor’s Julie Nemcek,” said Norwich head coach John Stewart. Maynard has now beaten Nemcek six times in the last three years, while never losing.
Caroline Stewart nearly earned the shutout win over Shan Shan Hong at second singles with her win at 6-1 and 6-0.
