YMCA announces tryouts, registration for youth basketball leagues
NORWICH – The Norwich Family YMCA have announced tryouts for boys and girls travel basketball leagues.
Boys aged 4th grade – 6th grade are invited to register for travel team tryouts taking place on October 25 and 27 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Travel team tryouts for girls in 5th and 6th grade will be taking place on October 24 and 26 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Both travel leagues will compete against teams in Vestal, Chenango Forks, Greene, Oneonta, Chenango Valley, and Endicott. Consequently, interested parties should be prepared for the considerable amount of traveling as a part of the team.
The Y will also be accepting registrations for their youth basketball leagues until October 23. The two age divisions for the program will be three – five year olds and six – 12 year olds, both co-ed.
If your child tries out for the travel league but does not make the team, they are welcome to take part in the youth basketball program.
