Unadilla Valley edges Milford late for the win

MILFORD – The Unadilla Valley Storm played Milford last Thursday, Sept 22, in a game that saw a second half scoring spree go in favor of the lady Storm, giving them the 3-1 win.
Scoring for UV was Cearah DaCostaFaro assisted by Kyleigh George, Maggie Fernette assisted by Julia Oglesby. And most impressively Teresa Burghardt with her first varsity goal, and unassisted goal in the win.
Scoring for Milford in the lopsided matchup was R. Giffith.
In the win for UV, Abbie Oglesby would stand in the goal notching up nine saves on the day. While Milford's goalkeeper, K. Kieser would match Oglesby's production with nine saves of her own.
Milford would lead with corner kicks with a three to two count.
Since this game against Milford, Unadilla Valley girls soccer has played Unatego on Monday, Sept. 26, and Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
