County Youth Bureau requests nominations for Youth Awards
CHENANGO COUNTY – The Chenango County Youth Bureau & Youth Board are seeking nominations for outstanding youth and youth workers, whose volunteer or professional activities have enabled youth programs to exist and flourish in communities throughout Chenango County.
Awards will be given in six different categories, and nominations must be returned to the Chenango County Youth Bureau no later than October 31. Honorees will be recognized during a special ceremony on December 12.
The six categories are:
• Outstanding Youth Volunteer
• Professional Youth Worker
• Volunteer (Adult) Community Youth Worker
• Outstanding Youth Program
• Youth Initiative
• Media Award
The Youth Bureau says that since Chenango County has a multitude of potential applicants, they will designate nine separate award areas throughout the County. Applicants are asked to specify the area that they serve on the nominee form, which can be obtained at the Chenango County Youth Bureau located at 5 Court Street in Norwich.
