Trojans claim division title against Bainbridge-Guilford

BAINBRIDGE – The Greene varsity boys soccer team continues to roll in 2016, adding a divisional title to its accomplishments on the year when they defeated Bainbridge-Guilford this past Friday.

The matchup featured two of Chenango Counties premier soccer squads on a Friday night showdown with the division championship on the line.

The Trojans took the early lead at the half with a 1-0 lead, tacking on one more goal for comfort in the second half to put the game away for the win. Scoring for Greene was senior Kevin Halsteter, and junior Bobby Mills, with assists coming from freshman Alec Frair, and sophomore Spencer Klumpp.

The championship caliber matchup featured a Greene team who notched seven shots on goal and five corners, while B-G recorded five shots on goal and no corners.
