BAINBRIDGE – Facing some stiffer competition was no matter when all was said and done for the Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford's undefeated varsity volleyball team, as they won another match in just three sets.
The domination from the young squad seems nearly unprecedented, however, the tight-knit Bobcat squad uses communication to showcase their skills on the court.
Moravia became accustomed to the flow of the game by the third set against B-G during their matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 12. However, after already suffering defeats in the first two sets at 25-9, and 25-14, Moravia could not dig themselves out of the whole.
Despite exchanging blows in the third set, B-G would pull away eventually, as they claimed the third set win at 25-19.
No statistics were reported on Moravia, however, B-G's Abigail Selfridge racked up an impressive night consisting of 13 assists, 11 kills, and two assists. Selfridge saw younger sister Erica Selfridge follow suit in the assists column as she recorded 12, as well as eight kills, and two aces. Sophomore Zamira Caldwell managed seven kills, two blocks, and two aces; while senior Alyssa Hovey added on four aces and one dig.
Next up for the undefeated Bainbridge-Guilford volleyball team (12-0 overall, 10-0 MAC league), they will travel to Sidney later on in the day on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
