County Board of Supervisors proclaims month of October 'Cooperative Extension and 4-H Month'

CHENANGO COUNTY – In recognition of the impact that Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County and 4-H Youth Development have on the people of the County, Chairman Lawrence Wilcox offered Resolution #10-17 to proclaim the month of October 2016 'Cooperative Extension and 4-H Month' in Chenango County.

The resolution adopted by the Board on Tuesday, October 11, acknowledges the many different positive influences that the Cooperative Extension, its volunteers, and 4-H Youth Development have on the people of Chenango County.

Representatives from the Cooperative Extension and 4-H were present at the Board meeting and Chairman Wilcox offered his thanks for their efforts and the subsequent results that occur in the County.

Wyatt Austin, a 13 year old from Coventry, spoke at the Board meeting to give some insight on the impact that 4-H has had on his life in his eight years with the program.
