Lady Blackhawks add another win, after defeating Spartans

UNATEGO – The Oxford Blackhawk varsity volleyball team loaded up and traveled to Unatego, only to come home with another win, after claiming a road win at 3-1.
In commanding fashion Oxford jumped to a 1-0 lead after claiming the first set at 25-14. This however changed to a 1-1 tie after a slip up in Oxford's play allowed Unatego to claim the second set in the night at 25-21.
This breathing room that was allowed by Oxford ignited a now hopeful Spartan team, however, a return to their potential of play allowed Oxford to glide to a third and fourth set win at 25-22 and 25-18.
In the win for Oxford Allison Beckwith played phenomenally with her four aces and four kills. Indaria Quintana added four kills and six digs, while Raigen Ehly added three aces, three kills and four digs. Also helping in the win was Lacey Hathaway with six aces, Andrea Dempsey with three kills, and Krysten Vigus with three digs.
Next up for Oxford (7-2 overall) following their road win, they will host Deposit come this Friday, Oct. 14. Oxford will be celebrating their senior night prior to the start of their next match, the match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
