Tully Rinckey, Price Chopper donate 250 Thanksgiving turkeys to vets
BINGHAMTON – In an effort to show appreciation for the sacrifices of active duty service members, veterans, and their families, the veteran-owned law firm Tully Rinckey PLLC and Price Chopper Supermarkets will provide free turkeys to active duty and retired military personnel this Thanksgiving through Tully Rinckey PLLC’s famed “Turkeys for Veterans” program.
Officials from Tully Rinckey PLLC and Price Chopper Supermarkets will hand-deliver approximately 1,500 pounds of turkey to active duty service members and veterans at the law firm’s Binghamton office at 4100 Vestal Road on Tuesday, Nov.22 from 3 –5 p.m. Turkeys will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis with proof of military ID. Limit one turkey per person.
The Turkeys for Veterans program has been a tradition at the firm’s Albany headquarters for the last eight years. This Thanksgiving marks the first year the firm is expanding the initiative to its Binghamton and Syracuse locations through its partnership with Price Chopper Supermarkets. Since the program’s inception in 2009, Tully Rinckey PLLC has provided the Thanksgiving table centerpiece for the family members of more than 1,000 active duty and retired military personnel.
“As we give thanks for our own good fortune this holiday, we can’t help but to reflect on the great sacrifices made by the men and women who have stood up to defend our country. The Turkeys for Veterans program has become a tradition that we look forward to all year round, and we are thrilled to be expanding that tradition to serve veterans at our Central New York locations this year,” said Tully Rinckey Binghamton NY Managing Partner Peter Charnetsky.
“We are extremely pleased and proud to partner with Tully Rinckey on this effort,” said Pam Cerrone, Price Chopper’s Director of Community Relations. “Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the abundance in our lives. It only comes once a year, but our gratitude for the sacrifices of our veterans and military and their families is felt year round. The Price Chopper team is honored to continue our tradition of support of military and veterans with a donation of Thanksgiving turkeys.”
