Authorities arrest man accused of heroin sales

SHERBURNE – A 23-year-old Brookfield man sits at the local jail accused of selling narcotics.

According to authorities, the Narcotics Division assisted by Deputy O'Hara and K9 partner Jeroen, Deputy Lawrence, and Deputy K. Davey arrested Ward on Friday, Jan. 20, following an investigation.

It was said that the investigation began when correctional officers received information of narcotics attempting to be brought into the Chenango County Correctional Facility.

Further, it's alleged that Ward – during the investigation – sold narcotics to another and was later found to be in possession of heroin, Suboxone, and marijuana.
