City officials remind residents of snow removal policies
NORWICH – In light of the nor'easter snow storm that ripped through the northeast earlier this week, Norwich city officials are extending reminders to residents about the importance of snow removal around one's property.
City of Norwich Codes Enforcement Officer Jason Lawrence is issuing a reminder to residents of the city to keep their respective sidewalks clear, as well as the area surrounding any fire hydrants.
Lawrence also reminded residents to exercise caution when disposing of snow, because it can potentially lead to dangerous carbon dioxide issues inside a home if heating vents become blocked by snow build-up.
While the forecast calls for little accumulations through the rest of the week, steady snow showers are expected in the area.
