Bobcat bowlers sweep Deposit
BAINBRIDGE – Galaxy Bowl in Bainbridge held the home matchup between the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys and girls varsity bowling teams and visiting Deposit – to which both of the B-G teams earned 4-0 wins on the day.
With a double B-G 4-0 win this past Friday, Jan. 27, the girls truly showed dominance over their opponents on the lanes. Outnumbering Deposit 5-3, the lady Bobcats easily snagged the victory (733-314, 756-368, 674-308 for a total pin-count of 2,163 to just 990.
Leading B-G on the girls side was Courtney Dellelo (172, 189, 148– 509) as Dellelo earned both the series high and game high for the ladies. The visitors would be led by Carolynn Struble who pulled ahead for her team to grab the series and game high (136, 153, 168– 457).
On the boys side for the Bobcats, they were led to their 4-0 win by Ed Fuller and Cameron Luca. The duo squared off for a teammate battle which ended with Fuller taking both the game and series high. Fuller impressively rolled a 266 in the first game, only to be trailed by Luca at 235. Fuller finished with a 638 series high (266, 198, 174–638); while Luca attempted to keep pace (235, 179, 213– 627.
Deposit attempted to battle back in the second game – after dropping the first 968-738, they would see improved results in the second at 878-841 in favor of B-G. The Bobcats finished Deposit off with a third game win at 816-698 for a total pin-count of 2,662-2,227.
Leading Deposit in the loss was Kenny Macumber (157, 225, 157– 539).
Next up for Bainbridge-Guilford bowling, the Bobcat boys and girls will host Oxford on Mondaym Jan. 30, at Galaxy Bowl at 3:45 p.m.
