NBT Bank Wall of Art features artist Neal Allen
NORWICH-The NBT Bank’s Wall of Art is featuring the artwork of Neal Allen at the bank’s main office on South Broad Street. Allen's work will be on display through the end of February.
Allen, a resident of West Winfield, is a music teacher at the Mount Markham Middle School who began working in pastels about eight years ago. Allen has studied drawing, painting, figure drawing and landscape painting at Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute and has participated in numerous workshops offered through the Pastel Society of America. In this exhibit, Allen focuses on landscapes and still life. A founding member of the Syracuse Pastel Artists group, his award-winning work has been in solo and group exhibitions throughout New York and surrounding states.
For its Wall of Art, NBT is partnering with the Chenango Arts Council to highlight the creativity of area residents.
Council Interim Executive Director Alecia ONeill said, “Neal skillfully uses the rich color that pastels provide to truly capture the mood and pull the viewer in to the subject he is drawing.”
