Family Night at the Oxford Library: Hat’s Off to Dr. Seuss

OXFORD – NEA's Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that annually takes place on March 2, which also happens to be Dr. Seuss’ birthday. All across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books to celebrate the love of reading with young people.
The Oxford Memorial Library doesn’t want to be left out of the celebrations, and it just so happens that its March Family Night falls on this day.
March 2 at 6:30 p.m., the library will hold its “Hat’s Off To Dr. Seuss” Family Night. Attendees can listen and watch, or even participate, as favorite Dr. Seuss books are read and acted out for by the Library staff and volunteers.
After the program there will be some Dr. Seuss themed activities and snacks.
Attendees are encouraged to wear a funny hat or dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character.
Anyone with questions can call The Oxford Library at 843-6146, check out the Oxford Memorial Library and Oxford Memorial Library Youth Services Facebook pages, or go to http://oxfordmemoriallibrary.org.
