Artist applications are being accepted for 23rd annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival
NORWICH – Time is running out to submit your application to be an exhibitor in the 23rd annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival, which will be held on September 9 and 10, 2017. Applications should be sumitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 10, however, late applications may be accepted at the discretion of the jury where space is available.
Colorscape is recognized as one of the most artist-friendly festivals in central New York. In fact, Sunshine Artist: America’s Premier Art and Craft Show Magazine detailed Colorscape’s exceptional commitment to its artists – in their own words – in its February 2015 issue.
Based on a 10-point scale, Colorscape management received a 9.9 overall rating, artist treatment (10.0), and artist amenities (8.8). Other aspects of the event also received eight-or better ratings: attendance, advertising, quality of work, balance of mediums, prestige of show, layout, load-in/out, and parking. Artists also reported respectable sales figures.
As one artist commented in the article, “(This is) probably my favorite show because it is a show for artists by artists, and we are treated remarkably well by the management, volunteers, and community.”
Colorscape takes place in the parks in downtown Norwich. Only 125 spaces are available with applications arriving almost daily. Colorscape is always looking for new artists to keep its visitors interested, enthusiastic and buying, so get your application in as soon as possible.
Colorscape is a free juried exhibition of arts and fine crafts in an interactive atmosphere featuring artist demonstrations, literary, dance, music and arts activities for all ages, student art exhibit, competitive poetry slam and creative food vending. Entertainment is on three stages.
