UV Storm 4-H to host Ag Plastic Recycling Day

NEW BERLIN – On Saturday, April 15 at 9 a.m., Unadilla Valley School will host this year’s Ag Plastic Recycling Drive through the 4-H club community.

The Storm Family and 4-H teen leaders will be collecting and bailing agricultural plastics such as net wrap, bunk and bale plastics.

Attendees who bring different types of plastics are asked to separate them and try to keep the plastic as clean and dry as possible, shaking out any pebbles and clumps of soil and debris, rolling or fold the plastic into 3’x 3’ pillows or bundles, storing the plastic off the ground and out of mud, gravel and grit, and finally separating different types of plastic by color and type.

The Storm 4-H will also be having a bake sale and bottles and can drive to benefit the Storm Family 4-H Club.

Unadilla Valley School is located at 4238 State Highway 8 in New Berlin.
