Lady Crimson Knights are ready to kick the 2017 season into gear

KISSIMMEE, FL – The week off from high school that student-athletes are afforded due to the Easter break is usually spent at home with family, or on a family vacation.

However, for the Afton varsity softball team, family means team as the team just returned to New York State following a week-long getaway to Florida and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

This week-long getaway, was used to get some game time in for the young Crimson Knights – all games were played as scrimmages.

“Young, we are very very young team this year with a lot of different girls at different positions,” said Afton head coach Cindy Bostelman. “It was nice to go down south, it gave us an opportunity to get some game-play in, which my young team needed.”
