Holland Patent Golden Knights hammer lady Marauders

HOLLAND PATENT – It was a day to forget for the Sherburne-Earlville varsity softball team, as they were trounced by Holland Patent yesterday, April 26, on a final score of 15-0.
S-E fell into a deep 12-0 hole after just the first three innings, and were never able to recover.
Their lack of offense didn’t help them any. The Marauders mustered up just two hits, in comparison to the Golden Knights, who racked up 12.
Victoria Spoon was a nemesis for the Marauders the entire game. She went 4-5 at the plate for the Golden Knights, knocking two doubles in the win. Skylar Kaelin drove in another two runs, courtesy of a long ball, to help her side to victory.
S-E will be hoping for a much better performance this Friday, April 28, when they travel to take on Canastota. First pitch in that game is set for 4:30 p.m.
