GREENE – The lady Trojans softball team of Greene suffered a nasty defeat in their first game of the MAC league tournament – getting crushed at home against Harpursville 22-2.

Greene was outhit 12-4 in their efforts at the plate, Harpursville snagged two doubles in their 12 hits – as the defensive side for the lady Trojans suffered through five costly errors in the field.

Earning the win on the mound was Alley Fynboe, while Greene’s Chrissy Boeltz was credited with the loss. This loss for Greene came at the expense of their senior night celebrations for their lone senior – Jessica Ketzak.
