All-State selections for girls basketball 2017

NEW YORK – The New York Sports Writers Association recently released their 2016-2017 All-State selections for the girls basketball Class B, C and D.
Among those listed this year, were six Chenango County student-athletes.
Norwich senior Meghan Komendarek earned the highest recognition in this year’s selection – with a All-State Second Team selection for Class B as a Forward. Following Komendarek, was fellow Tornado senior Makenzie Maynard, who was an Honorable Mention selection for Class B as a Guard.
Bainbridge-Guilford’s star sophomore, Abigail Selfridge claimed an All-State Third Team selection for Class C, as a Guard. Fellow lady Bobcat, Megan Palmatier was named Honorable Mention as a junior Guard – Greene junior, Alyssa Sands was named an Honorable Mention as a Guard.
Otselic Valley’s Amber Meigs, a junior, was named as an Honorable Mention selection for Class D schools.
