68th Pageant of Bands draws spectators, competitors from near-and-far

SHERBURNE – Since 1949, the Sherburne Pageant of Bands has been recognized as one of the longest running, largest, and most highly regarded pageants in the state.


Today in its 68th year, 32 junior and senior high school bands competed in Jazz Ensemble, Small Ensemble, and Concert Band, as well as Best of Class, Drum Major, Floats, Norman Palmiter Jr., Percussion, Frank L. Miller Outstanding Director and the Albert Whitney Overall Achievement Award.


Amongst the various junior and senior high school bands that participated in the pageant, only a few local schools took first place:
