Final turbine load to move through county today

CHENANGO COUNTY – The final million-pound turbine load will move south today, June 15, from the North Norwich rest area through the county to the Chenango-Broome County line.

Consequently, traffic delays can be expected on State Route 12.

Based on previous trips, the City of Norwich/Chenango County Emergency Operations Center estimates the turbine load will reach the City of Norwich at approximately 10:30 a.m. Furthermore, it is expected the load will reach the Chenango-Broome County line after 5 p.m.
