Area Agency on Aging announces upcoming driver safety course
NORWICH – The Lutheran Church in Norwich will host a two-day AARP Driver Safety Course on Tuesday, Sept. 12, and Wednesday, Sept. 13.
The two-day course will take place both days from 9 a.m. to noon, and participants are required to attend both days to qualify for the certificate that is awarded upon completing the course.
The cost of the course is $20 for AARP members who provide proof of membership, and $25 for non-members. Payment must be made on the first day of the course.
Any person with a valid New York State driver's license who completes the course may have points deducted from their license, or may earn a deduction on their automobile insurance for a three-year period.
Class size is limited, and those who attend are asked to bring their driver's license (NYS only), AARP card (if applicable), and a pen to class.
