County DOH looks to expand Hep C outreach

NORWICH – Hoping to thwart a rising number of Hepatitis C cases in Chenango County, the county’s department of health is looking to expand education and outreach for the communicable disease.


The county’s been awarded $12,000 from the NYS Department of Health for excellent performance in communicable disease investigation. County health officials may use that money for any purpose related to communicable diseases.


On Tuesday, Chenango DOH Director Marc Flindt notified the county’s committee on health and human services about the award.
